Solar panel heats up the hot water tank when it is sunny.

The villa has pre-installed air con. The heat pump system is very economical to run and is programmable with a thermostat control. This eco home is very well insulated in the roof, floors and walls.

The 500m sq plot, build 144m sq, property is surrounded by fruit trees and vegetable plots. It has space to build a pool if required. It has a irrigation system which has a program to turn the water on for all the fruit trees & plants.

About the Area:
La Romana is a village of some 2,500 people, located in the foothills of the Serra del Reclot a few kilometres from Algueña and several kilometres from Hondón de las Nieves and Novelda, in the autonomous community of Valencia, southern Spain.The village is surrounded by countryside where vineyards and almond orchards are grown. The area is also noted for the number of quarries producing marble and limestone. There are a number of cave dwellings around La Romana which are still in use, many having been converted into modern homes.

The main village is set out on a grid pattern of mostly one-way streets, with very few buildings higher than one storey, with clean, tree lined streets.The town's popular fiesta is held in the third week of August each year, with a humorous parade held on the Thursday and Moors and Christians parades on the Friday and Saturday. In the autumn a gastronomica is held in the park.

There is a small weekly street market on Saturdays, around where the covered daily market is.Alicante enjoys mild winter temperatures, hot summers and little rain, concentrated in equinoctial periods. Seasonal variations in temperature are also relatively small, meaning that winters are mild and summers are hot.The average rainfall is 277 mm (10.9 in) per year. The cold drop means that September and October are the wettest months. Rarely, the rainfall can be torrential, reaching over 100 mm (4 in) in a 24-hour period, leading to severe flooding. Because of this irregularity, only 35 rainy days are observed on average per year, and the annual number of sunshine hours is 2,953.The record maximum temperature of 41.4 °C (107 °F) was observed on 4 July 1994.[13] The record minimum temperature of ?1.6 °C (29 °F) was recorded on 2 January 1971. The worst flooding in modern history occurred on 30 September 1997 when 270.2 mm (10.6 in) of rain fell within six hours.Temperatures under 2 °C (36 °F) are very rare. Snow is unknown since 1926. Alicante enjoys some of the warmest winter daytime temperatures in mainland Europe (behind Cartagena and Almería), and the climate of Alicante is very similar to the climate of Los Angeles, California.
